Scientific Name Cathorops kailolae  Marceniuk & Betancur-R., 2008
Common Name
Type Locality Embayment about 3 miles west of El Estor, lago Izabal, Guatemala.
Etymology The species is name to honour Dr. Patricia J. Kailola, The University of the South Pacific, Suva, Fiji, for her enormous contribution to the systematics of the Ariidae.
