|Sexing||Females, when in good condition, have a fuller body. Males tend to have brighter colours, typically a lot more red in the colouration.|
|Distribution||Rivers of Guiana south to Amazon River basin and up Amazon River to Negro River: Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana and Suriname.
