Scientific Name Phenacorhamdia macarenensis  Dahl, 1961
Common Name
Type Locality Caño Lozada, upper Guaviare River basin, Colombia.
Etymology Phenacorhamdia from phenax, imposter or cheat and Rhamdia, a related genus, i.e., a false Rhamdia, presumably referring to similarity to that genus.
