Scientific Name Trachyglanis intermedius  Pellegrin, 1928
Common Name
Type Locality Kasaï, Luluabourg, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Etymology The Greek trachys meaning rough and glanis meaning a catfish.

Size 90mm or 3.5" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification The caudle peduncle is exceptionally long in this species. Upper parts of fish brownish, the underside grey.the fins are more or less spotted and speckled blackish.
General Remarks It has been discussed that this species could also have close proximity with the genus Belonoglanis.
