Scientific Name Trachyglanis minutus  Boulenger, 1902
Common Name
Type Locality Ubangi River at Banzyville, Zaire [Democratic Republic of Congo], about 4°18'N, 21°11'E.
Etymology The Greek trachys meaning rough and glanis meaning a catfish. Minutus pertaining to the small size of the species.
