Scientific Name Bujurquina moriorum  Kullander, 1986
Common Name
Type Locality Quebrada Carahuayte, on road between Jenaro Herrera and Colonia Angamos, Río Ucayali drainage, Loreto, Peru.
Etymology Bujurquina: A name created by Kullander, taken from a native Peruvian word for these cichlids, "bujurqui" or "bufurque".
