Scientific Name Tilapia guinasana  Trewavas, 1936
Common Name Otjikoto Tilapia
Type Locality Lake Guinas, west of Lake Otjikoto and Tsumeb, South-west Africa, elevation 1270 meters.
Etymology Tilapia: Bechuana, African native thiape meaning fish.
