Breeding Spawning notes kindly provided by Eric Bodrock from Oct. 2001. Original spawning group consisting of 10 males and one female! A 10-gallon tank was used, pH of 6.7-7.2 was maintained. The TDS was 216 ppm, dGH9 with a KH of 2, temperatures between 72°F – 76°F (22°C – 24.5°C). The majority of the eggs, which are very sticky, are deposited in a yarn mop, which is placed directly in the path of a strong current, a few may be found on the glass near the mop. Spawns can continue for a couple of days, normally finding up to 40 eggs. High hatch rate, parents do not seem to bother with the fry.
Breeding Reports There is no breeding report.
