Scientific Name Corydoras (lineage 5) sp. (C041)   
Common Names C041, Greenband Cory
Irpansermalle (Denmark)
Pronunciation kor ee doh rass (lineage five).
Etymology Cory = helmet, doras = skin. In this case it was incorrectly used to mean armour (cuirasse) instead of skin in allusion to the dual rows of plates that run along the flanks of this genus.

Size 50mm or 2" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification Similar to most other Elegans-type corys, but has little or no reticulated/mottled markings. Described in Aqualog All Corydoras as ''similar to C. elegans, but more dark''.
Sexing Females are slightly larger and fuller than males when viewed from above.

Feeding Will accept most flake, frozen, or live foods. User data.
Furniture Typical Corydoras ''furniture'' - plants, rocks, driftwood, etc. Needs fine sand or smooth gravel to prevent barbel erosion.
Compatibility Completely peaceful. Should be kept in groups of 6 or more.
Breeding Not accomplished in captivity yet, but probably similar to other Corydoras species.
