General Remarks | Translated from original description: Upper body light brown, whitish towards the sides and belly. Dorsal and caudal fins with a wide black border, anal fin with a narrow black border. On the anal and on the caudal, the black border is followed by a wide lighter band. The base of the supporting joint in front of the dorsal is covered with a black spot. Pelvic and pectoral fins are light colored. Head and body without spots; only in the bay (body?) behind the helmet one always notices fine white dots, which often continue along the sides of the body and tail, so that some individuals look as if they were covered with faint little stars. |
