Etymology	. Named to honour Dr. Herbert Axelrod.

Husbandry Information
Breeding	Spawning notes kindly provided by Eric Bodrock from February 1996. Group of nine males and four females used in a 15-gallon tank. On average the pH is between 6.0-6.8 and a TDS reading of 200 ppm. Temperatures range from 72°F – 76°F (22°C- 24.5°C). Eggs can be deposited in sunken mops or sides of the tank and are found in small numbers of 25-30. Often will spawn over a couple of days period with a hatch around 50%.
