Etymology	. This specific epithet refers to the specimen's short(brevis=short) snout(rostrum=muzzle or snout).
Species Information
Size	50mm or 2" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	Differs from Corydoras melanistius by having patterning in the caudal fin. Was elevated out of subspecies status (then known as Corydoras melanistius brevirostris) in 2001.
