Scientific Name Chrysichthys acsiorum  Hardman, 2008

Type Locality Kajaga, Burundi, Lake Tanganyika, depth 30 meters.
Pronunciation cry sick thiss
Etymology Chrysichthys: From the Greek chrysos, meaning golden and ichthys, meaning fish; in reference to the golden-yellow color (of the type species, C. auratus). Named acsiorum after the All Catfish Species Inventory (ACSI, a research initiative to catalogue and describe the catfishes of the world).
