Scientific Name Cyprichromis pavo  Büscher, 1994
Common Name
Type Locality Lake Tanganyika, near Tembwe Settlement, 7°10'S, 30°00'E, about 40 kilometers south of Moba, Democratic Republic of Congo, depth 25 meters.
Etymology Cyprichromis: Latin, cyprinus = carp + Greek, chromis = a fish, perhaps a perch.
