Scientific Name Dawkinsia rohani  (Rema Devi, Indra & Knight, 2010)
Common Name
Type Locality Kodayar River drainage, near Mayilar, KWS, Kanyakumari District, Tami Nadu, India, 8.5052°N, 77.3015°E, elevation 110 meters.
Etymology Dawkinsia are named for Richard Dawkins, for his contribution to the public understanding of science and, in particular, of evolutionary science. rohani: Named for Rohan Pethiyagoda, in appreciation of his extensive work on the freshwater fishes of India and Sri Lanka.
