Identification | Differentiated from D. hexazona by a small partial band under the rear of the dorsal fin. |
Sexing | Typically, males have brighter colour, in particular a brighter red colouration. |
General Remarks | To misquote Star Wars, "These are not the barbs you are looking for". The species sold under this name commonly found in the aquarium trade are D. hexazona. |
