Type Locality Rio Três Forquilhas, opposite to church of Vila Itati, 29°30'43"S, 50°05'31"W, Terra de Areia, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Pronunciation rhine lor ee kar ee ah.
Etymology Greek, rhinos = nose + Latin, lorica, loricare = cuirass of corslet of leather.
