Pronunciation auto SINK luss
Etymology Greek, ous, oto = ear + Latin, cinclus = latticework; in allusion to the holes of the head in the ears. Named after the Rio Juruena, a right bank tributary of the Rio Tapajós basin where the type material was collected.
