|Etymology||Greek, rhinos = nose + Latin, lorica, loricare = cuirass of corslet of leather.|
|Size||110mm or 4.3" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.|
|Identification||This red colour form is considered to be artificial although it is unclear what species or methods were used in its production. Aqualog introduced this fish with an l-number of L010a, it is very different from L010.|
|Sexing||Males grow short spines in the top of their heads and pectoral fins.|
|Feeding||Adaptable omnivores, these fish will eat most foods from cucumber or zucchini slices to frozen bloodworm or dry flake foods.|
|Furniture||The fish should be provided with half-pipe type refuges which also often be used as spawning sites.|
|Compatibility||Peaceful and not territorial.|
|Breeding||Breeds in fairly usual Rineloricaria manner, male guards the eggs in a cave (pipe, around 25mm diameter, according to some reports).|
