Scientific Name Scleronema macanuda    Ferrer & Malabarba, 2020
Common Name
Type Locality Irrigation water channel draining to arroio Velhaco, laguna dos Patos system, Sentinela do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil, 30°43'13"S, 51°39'28"W.
Etymology Scleronema: Greek, skleros = hard + Greek, nema = filament (or thread) referring to the hard base of the maxillary barbel.
