Type Locality Joazeiro, Brazil.

Etymology Pseudotatia: From the Greek pseudes, meaning false, and tatia; in reference to the resemblance to Tatia.

Size 75mm or 3" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification Differs from Tatia (and Glanidium) by having higher ray counts in all but the caudal fin. Another differentiating feature is the elongate, slender caudal peduncle.
Sexing Unreported but presumably the male has a modified anal fin in keeping with other members of this family.
