Etymology | Pseudotatia: From the Greek pseudes, meaning false, and tatia; in reference to the resemblance to Tatia. |

Identification | Differs from Tatia (and Glanidium) by having higher ray counts in all but the caudal fin. Another differentiating feature is the elongate, slender caudal peduncle. |
