Size	450mm or 17.7" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	Hexanematichthys sagor is the only ariid that has pronounced banding on the body in life.
Habitat Information
Distribution	Indo-West Pacific: Pakistan, west and east coast of India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indo-Australian Archipelago (but not occurring in Papua New Guinea or Australia). Also reported from China, and Philippines. Reports from eastern Africa and the Red Sea need confirmation.
