Etymology	Ictalurus: From the Greek ichthys, meaning fish, and ailouros, meaning cat; literally "fish cat" (=catfish). Named to honour William Wightman Price.

Distribution	North America: Rio Yaqui and Rio Casas Grandes drainages in northwestern Mexico and (presumably) extreme southeastern Arizona in USA.
