Scientific Name Acentrogobius veliensis  (Geevarghese & John, 1982)
Common Name
Type Locality Veli estuary in Trivandrum, southwestern coast of Kerala State, India.
Etymology Acentrogobius: Greek, a = without + Greek, kentron = sting + Latin gobius = gudgeon.
