Scientific Name Betta albimarginata    Kottelat & Ng, 1994
Common Name
Type Locality Sungei Sanul, tributary of Sungei Tikung, Sungei Sebuku basin, Kalimantan Timur, Borneo.
Etymology Betta: Siamese local name of the fish "ikan bettah". albimarginata: albi - white, marginata - of the edge, so white on the edge, in reference to the white edge on the male fins.
