Scientific Name Clupisoma yunnanense    (He, Huang & Li, 1995)
Common Name
Type Locality Njuang River in Doajie of Boashan County, Yunnan Province, China.
Synonym(s) Clupisoma nujiangense
Pronunciation kloop ee sow mah
Etymology Clupisoma: Latin, clupea = sardine, derived from Clupeus = shield; doubtless a reference to the sacles covering the body of the fish + Greek, soma = body.
