Common Name
Type Locality Liyeke, dead arm of Tshuapa River, between Boende and Watsi, 2 kilometers from Boende, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Pronunciation brish hard ee
Etymology From the Greek apisto meaning uncertain and the Latin lorica or loricare meaning cuirass or corslet of leather. brichardi after Pierre Brichard, a famous Belgian ichthyologist and student of African fish.
