Scientific Name Cordylancistrus perijae  Pérez & Provenzano, 1996
Common Name
Type Locality Caño Colorado, 100 meters from dam site, tributary of Palmar River, about 10°37'12''N, 72°25'34''W, Maracaibo basin, Venezuela.
Etymology (Greek)Kordyle = Club, swelling + (Greek) agkistron = hook, referring to its wide head.
