Pronunciation	kor ee doh rass (lineage eight subclade three). - reh TICK ewe LATT uss
Etymology	Cory = helmet, doras = skin. In this case it was incorrectly used to mean armour (cuirasse) instead of skin in allusion to the dual rows of plates that run along the flanks of this genus. This specific epithet refers to the netlike (reticulatus=netted, netlike) pattern on its body.

Identification	Similar to C. sodalis. C. reticulatus is distinguished by the blotch in the dorsal fin, which is not present in C. sodalis.
