Common Name
Type Locality Kabini River, India [original: Manantoddy [Mananthavadi] River, Kabini River drainage, Kerala, southern India].
Etymology Dawkinsia are named for Richard Dawkins, for his contribution to the public understanding of science and, in particular, of evolutionary science.
