Scientific Name Glaridoglanis andersonii  (Day, 1870)
Common Name
Type Locality Hotham [= Hotha = Husaxiang, 24°28'09"N, 97°53'54"E] and Ponsee [about 24°28'N, 97°42'E], upper Irrawaddy River basin, China.
Synonym(s) Exostoma andersonii, Glyptosternon malaisei
Etymology The specific name is in honour of John Anderson (1833-1900), Scottish zoologist and anatomist, who presented the type to the Calcutta Museum.
