Common Name
Type Locality	Caura River at top of Salto Pará waterfalls, Bolivar State, Venezuela.
Type Locality Notes	Type locality estimated by comparing narrative of holotype (collected 1993) and to that of paratype with similar locality narrative (collected 2000).
Etymology	The species-group name, merevari, is the Ye-kuana name for the Caura River.
