Scientific Name Ituglanis inusitatus  Ferrer & Donin, 2017
Common Name
Type Locality Arroio São João tributary of rio Ibicuí, rio Uruguai basin, Município de Alegrete, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, 29°46'52"S, 55°24'56"W, elevation circa 92 meters.
Etymology Greek, itys, ityos = circle + Greek, glanis = a fish that can eat the bait without touching the hook; a cat fish.
