Scientific Name Julidochromis transcriptus  Matthes, 1958
Common Names Masked Julie
Schwarzweißer Schlankcichlide (Germany)
Type Locality Extreme north of Lake Tanganyika.
Etymology Julidochromis: Taken from marine wrasse "julidini"; also from Greek, ioulis = a fish dealing with genera Coris or Thalassoma.
