Common Name
Type Locality	Río Ventuari, above Salto Tencua, 58 kilometers east-southeast of San Juan de Manapiare, 5°02'52"N, 65°36'57"W, Amazonas, Venezuela.
Synonym(s)	Pseudancistrus yekuana
Etymology	A reference to the Ye-Kuana, an indigenous people inhabiting the upper Rio Ventuari.

General Remarks	Sexually mature from a size of 35mm.
