Type Locality Sipaliwini River, southwestern Suriname.
Synonym(s) Harttia nijsseni, Metaloricaria paucidens nijsseni
Etymology (Greek)Meta=With,after + (Latin) lorica, loricare=cuirass of corslet of leather(a suit of armour made of leather).
