Type Locality	Creek at right bank of Ouaqui R., upstream of Sant Bali, French Guiana.
Synonym(s)	Metaloricaria paucidens paucidens
Etymology	(Greek)Meta=With,after + (Latin) lorica, loricare=cuirass of corslet of leather(a suit of armour made of leather). This specific epithet refers to its little(paucus=little) teeth(-dens=teeth).
