Scientific Name Nemadoras elongatus  (Boulenger, 1898)
Common Name
Type Locality Rio Juruá, Brazil.
Synonym(s) Opsodoras parallelus, Oxydoras elongatus
Etymology Nemadoras: From the Greek nematos meaning filament, and doras, meaning skin (also a word commonly used in forming generic names for doradids); probably in reference to the lack of scutes along the back.
