Type Locality	Main Spring, Dalhousie Springs, South Australia, about 26°25'S, 135°30'E.
Pronunciation	Nee oh see loo russ - glove err aye
Etymology	The generic name comes from the Latin neo, meaning new and Silurus, a catfish name frequently used to form generic names.
Species Information
Size	90mm or 3.5" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	One of the smaller members of the Genus.
Sexing	They may be sexed by the shape of their urogenital papilla, although the small size of this species makes this a little more difficult.
Habitat Information

Husbandry Information
Breeding	Fecundity ranges from 136 eggs for a 72mm (3in) TL fish to 1197 eggs for a 120mm (4.8in) TL fish. It is not known if spawning is seasonal or occurs all year round.
