Type Locality	Igarapé do Vinte e Dois at Recanto do Sanari, ca. 20 km west of Humaitá toward Lábrea, 7°35'36''S. 63°10'27''W, Rio Madeira drainage, Humaitá, Amazonas, Brazil.

Etymology	Greek, ous, oto = ear + Latin, cinclus = latticework; in allusion to the holes of the head in the ears.
