Etymology	The name Pangasius comes from a local (Bengali) name of the fish (pungas).

Size	1300mm or 51.2" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification	This species exhibits a dark spot just above the pectoral fin; this may fade in larger specimens.
Sexing	Females are fuller-bodied.
