| Identification | Loaches of the genus Pangio are distributed in India and most of Indochina and the Sunda Islands (Kottelat & Lim, 1993). They comprise 31 valid species of small, elongated, eel-like cypriniforms commonly known as eel-loaches. |
| General Remarks | This fish is not what is sold as "Kuhli Loach" in the shops. That is Pangio semicincta. |
