Scientific Name Pethia yuensis  (Arunkumar & Tombi Singh, 2003)
Common Name
Type Locality Maklang River, 21 kilometers from Moreh, Chindwin River basin, Manipur, India.
Etymology Pethia is the generic vernacular name for small cyprinids in Sinhala.
