Scientific Name Phenacorhamdia hoehnei  (Miranda Ribeiro, 1914)
Common Name
Type Locality Rio Taquari [Taquari], Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Etymology Phenacorhamdia from phenax, imposter or cheat and Rhamdia, a related genus, i.e., a false Rhamdia, presumably referring to similarity to that genus.
