Type Locality Stanley [Boyoma] Falls, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Pronunciation frak TWO rah
Etymology Phractura: From the Greek phraktos, meaning fenced in and oura, meaning tail; in reference to the bony plates enclosing the slender caudal peduncle.
