Common Name	Obbes' Tandan
Type Locality	Lorentz River at Sabang, New Guinea.
Etymology	Porochilus: Greek, poros = porous + Greek, cheilos =lip.
Species Information
Size	120mm or 4.7" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
General Remarks	Lives in slow-flowing streams, backwaters, swamps and lily lagoons, usually among aquatic weeds such as eel grass. Also found in lakes. See also Allen, G.R. 1989 Freshwater fishes of Australia. T.F.H. Publications, Inc., Neptune City, New Jersey.
