Scientific Name Tatia creutzbergi    (Boeseman, 1953)
Common Name
Type Locality Djaikreek [Djao Creek], Suriname.
Synonym(s) Centromuchlus creutzbergi
Pronunciation TA tee ah
Etymology Tatia: Named after the ichthyologist C. Tate Regan. The specific epithet is in honor of Mr. P. H. Creutzberg, one of the collectors of the holotype.

Sexing Mature males exhibit modified anal fin copulatory organ.
General Remarks From the original publication, the coloration shown in its illustration is incomplete: "...yellowish brown, the ventral surface a slightly rosaceous yellow. Darker brown markings as indicated in figure, but some further, irregular markings on caudal fin and proximal parts of anal and ventral fins, some dark spots on chin; dorsal and pectoral fins dusky. The body is furthermore covered with many irregular elongate longitudinal spots and streaks, not represented in the figure." (emphasis added).
