Scientific Name Taubateia paraiba  Malabarba & Lundberg, 2007
Common Name
Etymology Taubateia, named for Taubate, the basin where the fossil comes. The specific epithet paraiba, a noun in apposition in reference to the modern Rio ParaĆ­ba do Sul, the river crossing the geological basin where the fossil was collected.
