Etymology	Thryssa: Greek, thrissa, -es = shad.

Size	110mm or 4.3" SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Habitat Information
Distribution	Indo-Pacific: coasts of Pakistan, India, Myanmar and south of Penang; apparently not yet found in Gulf of Oman or the Persian Gulf; Malaysia, Indonesia north to Taiwan, no records from Papua New Guinea or northern coasts of Australia.
