Scientific Name Tremeuchiloglanis macrotrema    (Norman, 1925)
Common Name
Type Locality Ngoi-Tio, Col des Nuages, Tonkin, Vietnam, elevation 4500-6500 feet.
Etymology The generic name Tremeuchiloglanis is made from a combination of the Greek prefix Trem- (opening) and Euchiloglanis, a generic name used for a group of Glyptosterninae, alluding to a larger gill opening, as well as distinguishing it from Euchiloglanis(=Chimarrichthys), Creteuchiloglanis and Pareuchiloglanis. Gender: feminine.
